I just wanted a burger, but I get...

I go over to Mickey Dees (see: Mc Donalds) today to grab me a bite. As I tried to place my order, I am bewildered to find out that my favorite meal (the student specials) was gone. For those who are not familiar with what I'm talking about, here is what the Student special menu looks like:

Student Special Menu
A1 McChicken, 1 small fry and 1 small drink - $2
B1 McDouble, 1 small fry and 1 small drink - $2
C1 Big Mac, 1 small fry and 1 small drink - $3
D1 Snack wrap, 1 small fry and 1 small drink - $3
(There is an E but at the moment I can't remember because I never read down the menu after about day 2 of ordering a student special).

I'm sure y'all are thinking by now, 'this is every budget-friendly student's dream'. Yea, that's what I thought also when it was first incorporated in the menu. And ever since I found out, I always had to get atleast A or B.

Back to my story. When I heard this, I initially thought it was one of the Burger King type commercials about them not carrying the whooper. So naturally I had to ask the lady on the speaker if she was serious. Unfortunately she was. She joked about them not profiting out of that deal so they had to cut it off. So I ended up just getting 2 double cheesburgers and a McChicken.SAD.

While eating my meal, I pondered on how bad the economy could have been that the almighty McDonalds would be generating losses from sales. I mean with me alone, they should be coughing out at least a sizeable amount of profit. (Yea, I like to eat out every now and then). Then it hit me. I came across a picture the other that best desribes the state in which our economy is in right now. See below.

BEFORE

AFTER

I mean what  better way to show the state of mess (highly understated) in which the United state economy is in right now. It is literarily dead. Although drastic moves have been made to ressurect the economy, it looks like its going to be on life support for the mean while; atleast until some miracle occurs. And by the way, we do need that miracle...QUICK!!!

SAFE
BHB.

P.S.
HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY FOLKS!!!
